Medimibi is a radioactive medicine used to create images of your heart, breast tissue, or parathyroid glands to help doctors diagnose certain conditions.
Your doctor will determine the exact dose, which for adults is typically between 200 and 2000 MBq depending on the examination; for children, it is based on their weight.
Medimibi is given as an injection into a vein in your arm or leg.
If two injections are needed for a heart examination, the total dose should not exceed 2000 MBq in a single day.
