How to Use

Dosage

One tablet per day.

Method

Take the tablet whole with water, at the same time each day, preferably in the morning. You can take it with or without food, but avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor, which is usually one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness
  • Headache
  • Ankle swelling
  • Nausea
  • Tiredness
  • Frequent need to urinate
RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, making it difficult to breathe.
  • Chest pain or heart attack.
  • Liver problems, which may cause yellowing of the skin or eyes.
  • Kidney problems, such as severely reduced urine output.
  • Severe skin reactions, such as widespread rash, blisters, or peeling skin.
  • Blurred vision or eye pain, which may be due to increased eye pressure.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are more than 3 months pregnant or planning to get pregnant.
  • Do not take if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in this medicine or have severe liver or kidney problems.
  • If you have very low blood pressure, gout, heart failure after a heart attack, or certain heart valve problems, talk to your doctor before taking.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you develop swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat (making it hard to breathe), or severe skin reactions like blistering or peeling skin.
  • If you have had skin cancer or notice unusual skin changes, be careful in the sun and talk to your doctor.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Effectiveness is reduced in renal impairment. Consider risk of orthostatic hypotension and hyponatraemia and -kalemia. (updated 19.5.2025)
