How to Use

Dosage

Take 1 lozenge, 3 times a day, for up to 7 days.

Method

For the best effect, let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth.

Important

Do not take more than 3 lozenges per day without asking your doctor first.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Photosensitivity (rash or sunburn when exposed to sunlight).

  • Dry mouth, burning feeling in the mouth, allergic reactions like rash or itching.

  • Spasms of the voice box (laryngospasm), swelling (e.g., swelling of the mouth and throat lining).

  • Allergic reaction (hypersensitivity).

  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock) with symptoms like trouble breathing, chest pain or tightness, dizziness or fainting, severe skin itching or raised bumps, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat; this can be life-threatening.

  • Numbness in the mouth.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to benzydamine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are sensitive to aspirin or other NSAID pain relievers (like ibuprofen).
  • If you have or have had asthma, Zyx lozenges may cause breathing difficulties.
  • If your symptoms get worse or do not improve within 3 days, or if you have sores in your mouth or throat, contact a doctor or dentist.
  • Do not give Zyx lozenges to children under 6 years old.

  • Do not use Zyx lozenges if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Stop taking Zyx lozenges and call a doctor right away if you get swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, have trouble swallowing, get hives (itchy rash), or have trouble breathing.
