How to Use

Dosage

Adults and children 6 years and older: 1 lozenge 3 times a day to relieve pain, as needed.

Method

Let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth. Do not swallow or chew it.

Important

Maximum 3 lozenges per day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Skin becomes sensitive to sunlight (can cause rash or sunburn).
RARE
  • Dry mouth or a burning feeling in the mouth.
RARE
  • Sudden swelling in the mouth, throat, or mucous membranes (symptoms may include difficulty breathing or swallowing, rash, itching, hives, dizziness, or swelling of the face, hands, feet, eyes, lips, and/or tongue).
  • Trouble breathing (spasms in the voice box or airways).
RARE
  • Allergic reactions (hypersensitivity).
  • Severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock); symptoms may include breathing difficulties, chest pain or tightness, and/or dizziness/weakness, severe skin itching or hives, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue and/or throat; which can be life-threatening.
  • Local numbness or tingling in the lining of the mouth.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to benzydamine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have phenylketonuria (PKU).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have or have had asthma.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to salicylates (like aspirin) or other NSAID pain relievers.
  • Contact a doctor if your mouth or throat pain gets worse or doesn't improve within 3 days, or if you get a fever, severe pain, or other symptoms.

  • This medicine must not be given to children under 6 years old.
  • Do not use Zysils lozenges for more than 7 days.
  • Children aged 6–11 years should take this medicine under adult supervision.
  • Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by your doctor.
