How to Use
Dosage
Take one dose once a day, exactly as your doctor tells you.
Method
Swallow the tablet whole. You can take it with or without food.

RARE
- •Fungal infections (like in the mouth or vagina), or other new infections
- •Severe allergic reactions (e.g., swelling of the face/throat, difficulty breathing, severe skin rash). Seek immediate medical help.
- •Dizziness, sleep problems, feeling anxious, confusion, strange feelings, or changes in taste/smell
- •Fast or irregular heartbeat, or chest pain
- •Serious stomach or bowel inflammation, constipation, or indigestion
- •Severe skin reactions, like a widespread rash with blisters or peeling skin, or sun sensitivity
- •Problems with your liver or kidneys, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis worsening), or hearing loss
Important Warnings
- Do not take Zithromax if you are allergic to azithromycin or similar antibiotics (macrolides or ketolides).
- Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems.
- Inform your doctor if you have heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, or problems with your body's salts (like low potassium or magnesium).
- Contact your doctor if you get severe, bloody, or long-lasting diarrhea during or after treatment.
- Tell your doctor if you have myasthenia gravis (a muscle weakness condition).
