How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 40-80 mg taken twice a day with meals.

Method

Take the capsules whole with food, twice a day (one capsule with breakfast and one with dinner). Do not chew, crush, or open the capsules.

Important

Do not exceed a maximum daily dose of 160 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to ziprasidone or any other ingredients in it.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have or have had heart problems or a recent heart attack.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are taking other medications for heart rhythm problems or medicines that can affect your heart rhythm.
  • Seek medical help immediately if you get severe skin reactions like a blistering rash, mouth sores, skin peeling, fever, or target-shaped spots, as these can be life-threatening.
  • This medicine can make you sleepy, dizzy, or cause blood pressure drops when standing up, which may lead to falls. Be careful, especially if you are elderly or frail.

  • Do not take Ziprasidon Krka during pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to, as it may harm your baby.
  • Do not breastfeed while taking Ziprasidon Krka, as small amounts of the medicine can pass into breast milk.
  • Do not drink alcohol during treatment with Ziprasidon Krka, as it increases the risk of side effects.
  • Do not drive or use machines until drowsiness has passed.
