How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose for adults is 40-80 mg, taken twice a day with food.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with food. Do not chew, crush, or open them. Take one capsule with breakfast in the morning and one with dinner in the evening, around the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than 160 mg per day.

  • Raised, red inflamed skin patches covered with a white film (psoriasis)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Zeldox if you are allergic to ziprasidone or any other ingredients. Signs of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling of your face or lips, or trouble breathing.
  • Do not take Zeldox if you have or have recently had heart problems or a heart attack.
  • Do not take Zeldox if you are taking medicines that affect your heart's rhythm.
  • Tell your doctor if you or someone in your family has had blood clots, as this medicine might increase the risk.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver disease.

  • Tell your doctor if you have ever had seizures or epilepsy.
  • If you are over 65 years old and have dementia, or are at risk of a stroke, talk to your doctor.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a slow heartbeat or if you know you have low salt levels from severe diarrhea, vomiting, or water pills.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have a fast or irregular heartbeat, feel weak, faint, or dizzy when standing up. These could be signs of an abnormal heart rhythm.
  • Stop taking Zeldox and contact your doctor immediately if you get severe skin reactions like blistering rash, mouth sores, peeling skin, fever, or red ring-shaped spots. These can be serious and life-threatening.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have involuntary movements, especially of your face or tongue.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you experience swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or hives. These could be signs of a severe allergic reaction.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have fever, fast breathing, sweating, stiff muscles, tremors, difficulty swallowing, or confusion. These could be signs of a serious condition called Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have skin rash, fever, and swollen lymph nodes. These could be signs of a serious and life-threatening condition called DRESS syndrome.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have confusion, agitation, high temperature, sweating, lack of muscle coordination, or muscle twitching. These could be signs of Serotonin Syndrome.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have a fast, irregular heartbeat and faint. These could be signs of a life-threatening heart condition called Torsade de Pointes.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you have a prolonged, abnormal, and painful erection of the penis.
