Zanipress is a medicine containing two active ingredients, enalapril and lercanidipine, used to treat high blood pressure in adults already taking these substances separately.

How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet preferably in the morning at least 15 minutes before breakfast. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Cough
  • Dizziness, headache
RARE
  • Changes in blood values, such as a decrease in platelet count
  • Increased blood potassium levels
  • Nervousness (anxiety)
  • Dizziness when standing up, lightheadedness
  • Fast heart rate, fast or irregular heart rate (palpitations)
  • Sudden flushing of the face, neck, or upper chest; low blood pressure
  • Abdominal pain, constipation, nausea
  • Increased liver enzyme values
  • Skin redness
  • Joint pain
  • Increased need to urinate
  • Feeling of weakness, fatigue, hot flushes, ankle swelling
  • Anemia
  • Allergic reactions
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Fainting
  • Dry throat, sore throat
  • Digestive problems, salty taste in mouth, diarrhea, dry mouth, swollen gums
  • Allergic reaction with swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat (angioedema), associated with difficulty swallowing or breathing, rash, hives
  • Increased need to urinate at night, frequent urination
  • Impotence

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to enalapril, lercanidipine, or any other ingredient in this medicine, or if you have had an allergic reaction to similar medicines (ACE inhibitors or calcium channel blockers).
  • If you have ever experienced swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat (angioedema) after taking an ACE inhibitor, or if you have hereditary angioedema.
  • Do not take if you are taking or have recently taken sacubitril/valsartan, a medicine for chronic heart failure, as it increases the risk of angioedema.
  • Do not take if you are more than 3 months pregnant. It is also best to avoid this medicine in early pregnancy as it can harm your baby.
  • Do not take if you have severe heart, liver, or kidney problems, or if you are on dialysis.

  • Do not take with grapefruit or grapefruit juice, and do not drink alcohol while using this medicine, as they can increase its effects and side effects.
  • This medicine can make you dizzy, weak, or sleepy. If you experience these symptoms, do not drive or operate machinery.
