Zaditen eye drops contain ketotifen, an anti-allergy medicine used to treat eye symptoms caused by seasonal allergies.

How to Use

Dosage

For adults, elderly, and children aged 3 years and older, the recommended dose is one drop in the eye(s) twice a day (morning and evening).

Method

Wash hands. Open the blister pack and remove one single-dose container. Twist open the top of the container. Tilt your head back, pull down your lower eyelid, and gently squeeze one drop into your eye. Close your eye and press the inner corner for 1-2 minutes. Dispose of the container after use.

Important

Do not exceed one drop per eye, twice daily. The content of one single-dose container is sufficient for both eyes for one application.

  • Increased sensitivity to light
  • Visible bleeding under the surface of the eye

  • Rash (which may also be itchy)
  • Eczema (itchy, red, hot rash)
  • Dry mouth
  • Allergic reaction (including swelling of the face and eyelids) and worsening of existing allergic conditions such as asthma or eczema
  • Dizziness

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ketotifen or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If you are using other eye preparations at the same time as Zaditen eye drops, wait 5 minutes between applications.
  • Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken other medicines, especially those for depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, or allergies (e.g., antihistamines).
  • Zaditen eye drops may increase the effects of alcohol.
  • If you experience blurred vision, drowsiness, or dizziness after using Zaditen eye drops, wait until these symptoms disappear before driving or operating machinery.
