How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose of Ylpio is one tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow it with water or another non-alcoholic drink. The tablet can be divided into equal doses.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Skin rashes and allergic skin reactions.
RARE
  • Urinary tract infection or upper respiratory infection.
  • Anemia (low red blood cells).
  • Sleep problems, like difficulty sleeping or feeling drowsy.
  • Mood changes, such as feeling sad or anxious.
  • Dizziness, spinning sensation (vertigo), or fainting.
  • Changes in heart rate, either too slow or too fast.
  • Low blood pressure, especially when standing up, causing dizziness.
  • Breathing problems, like shortness of breath, cough, or scarring in the lungs.
  • Stomach and digestion problems, including pain, diarrhea, upset stomach, bloating, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, altered taste, or swelling in the intestines.
  • Skin problems, such as red spots, itching, increased sweating, drug rashes, eczema, hives, or sensitivity to sunlight.
  • Muscle and joint pain, including back pain, muscle cramps, joint pain, or tendon pain.
  • Kidney problems or kidney failure.
  • Chest pain or general weakness.
  • Changes in blood test results, such as levels of creatinine, potassium, white blood cells, platelets, liver enzymes, uric acid, hemoglobin, blood sugar, or sodium.
  • Vision problems, including impaired vision, short-sightedness, blurred vision, eye pain, or high pressure in the eyes.
  • Flu-like illness.
  • Worsening of systemic lupus erythematosus (an immune system disorder).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Ylpio if you are allergic to telmisartan, indapamide, other sulfonamides, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Ylpio if you have severe liver disease or liver problems affecting your brain.
  • Do not take Ylpio if you have severe kidney disease.
  • Do not take Ylpio if you have low potassium levels in your blood.
  • Do not take Ylpio if you are pregnant.

  • Do not take Ylpio if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine called aliskiren.
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you get sepsis (a severe infection, sometimes called blood poisoning).
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you get sudden swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, which can make it hard to breathe or swallow (angioedema).
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you get severe skin reactions, like a widespread rash, red skin, itching, blisters, peeling skin, or inflammation of mucous membranes.
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you get pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), which can cause severe stomach pain, back pain, and a feeling of being very sick.
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you experience a life-threatening irregular heartbeat.
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you develop brain problems caused by severe liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy).
  • Stop taking Ylpio and see a doctor immediately if you develop liver inflammation (hepatitis).
