How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children aged 6 years and older is 1 tablet daily.

Method

Take by mouth. Swallow the Xyzal tablets whole with water, with or without food.

Important

A maximum of 1 tablet per day.

  • Weakness
  • Stomach pain
  • Fast or strong heartbeat
  • Seizures
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Fainting
  • Blurry vision or other eye problems
  • Painful or difficult peeing, or being unable to empty your bladder
  • Swelling, itching, skin rash, or hives (itchy bumps on the skin)
  • Trouble breathing
  • Weight gain
  • Mood changes like feeling angry, sad, trouble sleeping, bad dreams, or thoughts of harming yourself
  • Liver problems, such as inflammation or not working right
  • Upset stomach (vomiting, more hunger, nausea, diarrhea)

Important Warnings

  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Xyzal tablets if you have any questions or concerns.
  • If you have difficulty emptying your bladder (e.g., due to spinal cord injury or enlarged prostate), ask your doctor for advice.
  • If you have epilepsy or are at risk of seizures, ask your doctor for advice, as Xyzal tablets may worsen seizures.
  • If you are going for allergy tests, ask your doctor if you should stop taking Xyzal tablets several days before the tests, as this medicine may affect the results.
  • Xyzal tablets are not recommended for children under 6 years of age, as the dose cannot be adjusted easily.

  • Do not take Xyzal if you are allergic to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or any other ingredient in this medicine, or if you have severe kidney disease requiring dialysis.
