How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide your specific dose. Each spray contains 10 mg of lidocaine.

This medicine is a spray for external use. It is used to numb areas for medical or dental procedures.

Important

Your doctor will tell you the maximum amount you can use. Using too much can cause serious side effects like confusion, numbness around the mouth, vision or hearing problems, and muscle twitching.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Local irritation at the application site.
RARE
  • Allergic reactions, which can include rash, swelling, fever, difficulty breathing, and fainting (anaphylactic shock). Seek immediate medical help if these occur.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to lidocaine or other similar local anesthetics.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney disease.
  • Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter ones, as Xylocain can interact with certain heart medicines.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Do not drive or operate machinery until the day after your procedure, as Xylocain can temporarily affect your reactions and muscle coordination.
