Xabogard is a medicine that contains iron, used to treat iron deficiency when your body doesn't have enough iron.
Your doctor or nurse will decide your dose based on blood tests.
The medicine is given as an injection or infusion directly into a vein, or during hemodialysis. It should not be given under the skin or into a muscle.
For adults and teens 14 and older, the maximum single dose is 1000 mg of iron (20 ml). If you are on hemodialysis, the maximum daily dose is 200 mg of iron.
