How to Use

Dosage

Take one lozenge every 3 to 6 hours as needed.

Method

Let one lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth. Move it around in your mouth as it dissolves.

Important

Do not take more than five lozenges in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Mouth inflammation.
  • Dizziness, headache, tingling or itching in the skin.
  • Throat irritation.
  • Mouth sores or pain in the mouth.
  • Sore throat.
  • Uncomfortable or unusual feeling in the mouth (like warmth, burning, tingling, itching).
  • Nausea and diarrhea.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Feeling sleepy or difficulty falling asleep.
  • Worsening asthma, sudden narrowing of airways, shortness of breath, or wheezing.
  • Blisters in the mouth or throat, numbness in the throat.
  • Dry mouth.
  • Pain or hot, burning sensation in the mouth, altered taste, abdominal bloating, stomach pain, flatulence, constipation, indigestion, vomiting.
  • Reduced sensation in the throat.
  • Fever, pain.
  • Rash, itchy skin.
RARE
  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic reaction).
  • Jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes).
  • Bleeding in the stomach or intestines.
  • Angioedema (sudden swelling under the skin).
  • Anemia (low red blood cell count) or thrombocytopenia (low platelet count, which can cause bruising and bleeding).
  • Swelling, high blood pressure, heart failure, or heart attack.
  • Severe skin reactions, such as blistering skin reactions (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell's syndrome, and toxic epidermal necrolysis).
  • Hepatitis (liver inflammation).
  • Sinus pain.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to flurbiprofen or any other ingredient in Vocasept.
  • Do not use if you have had asthma, breathing problems, runny nose, facial swelling, or rash after taking aspirin or other NSAID pain relievers.
  • Do not use if you have or have had stomach or intestinal ulcers.
  • Do not use if you have had intestinal bleeding, a hole in the intestine, severe bowel inflammation, or a blood disorder after using other NSAID pain relievers.
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy.

  • Do not use if you have or have had severe heart, liver, or kidney disease.
  • Stop using immediately and contact a doctor if you get a rash or allergic reaction.
  • Do not use Vocasept for more than 5 days unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years old.
