VISTABEL is a muscle relaxant that temporarily smooths out facial wrinkles like frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines by blocking nerve signals to the muscles.

How to Use

Dosage

Typical dosage is 20 units for frown lines, 24 units for crow's feet, and 20 units for forehead lines. Your doctor will determine the exact dose for your specific needs.

Method

VISTABEL is injected directly into the muscles in the affected areas. It must only be administered by a doctor trained in this treatment.

Important

The maximum total dose for all three treated facial areas combined is 64 units. Treatments should not be given more often than every 3 months.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to botulinum toxin type A or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome (chronic muscle diseases).
  • Do not use if you have an infection at the planned injection site.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you have difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing after treatment, as these could be signs of the toxin spreading.
  • Not recommended if you have a history of swallowing difficulties (dysphagia).

  • Not recommended for people under 18 years old. Limited experience in patients over 65.
  • Do not have treatments more frequently than every 3 months to avoid the risk of developing antibodies, which could make the treatment less effective.
  • Very rarely, allergic reactions or drooping eyelids (ptosis) can occur after the injection.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, especially antibiotics (aminoglycosides, spectinomycin) or if you have recently received other botulinum toxin injections, as these can increase VISTABEL's effects.
  • Not recommended if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • May cause general weakness, muscle weakness, dizziness, or vision problems. Do not drive or operate machinery until these symptoms have passed.
  • Inform your doctor if you have certain neurological diseases (such as ALS or motor neuropathy).
  • Inform your doctor if the muscles to be injected are weak or atrophied (shrunken).
  • Inform your doctor if you have injured your head, neck, or chest area or had surgery in these areas.
  • Inform your doctor if you are going to have surgery soon.
