How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you how many capsules to take, their strength, how often, and for how long, based on your body size, blood test results, and general health.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with water, preferably with a light meal to reduce nausea. Do not chew, suck, or dissolve them. If you accidentally chew or suck a capsule, rinse your mouth well and contact your doctor immediately.

Important

The total dose should not exceed 160 mg per week. Do not take Vinorelbine Orifarm more than once a week.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Infections in different parts of the body.
  • Stomach upset, diarrhea, constipation, belly pain, feeling sick, throwing up.
  • Sores or swelling in the mouth or throat.
  • Low red blood cells (anemia) making you pale, weak, or short of breath.
  • Low blood clotting cells (platelets) increasing bleeding or bruising.
  • Low infection-fighting cells (white blood cells), increasing risk of infection (sometimes with fever).
  • Less strong reflexes.
  • Hair loss, usually not severe.
  • Feeling tired, fever, general feeling of being unwell.
  • Losing weight, no appetite.
  • Trouble coordinating muscle movements.
  • Vision changes.
  • Shortness of breath, cough.
  • Trouble peeing, other urinary or private part problems.
  • Trouble sleeping.
  • Headache, dizziness, taste changes.
  • Soreness in the tube from your mouth to your stomach, difficulty swallowing food and liquids.
  • Skin rashes or reactions.
  • Chills.
  • Weight gain.
  • Joint, jaw, or muscle pain.
  • Pain in different parts of the body or at the tumor area.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Liver problems.
RARE
  • Severe constipation and stomach pain if you haven't had a bowel movement for several days.
  • Severe dizziness and feeling like you might faint when standing up (sign of very low blood pressure).
  • Heart failure (trouble breathing, swollen ankles, or irregular heartbeat).
  • Poor muscle control (ataxia) with strange walking, speech changes, and abnormal eye movements.
  • Severe chest pain you haven't felt before (possibly a heart attack).
  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, and fainting (may be a blood clot in the lungs).
  • Headache, confusion, seizures, blurred vision, high blood pressure (may be a brain disorder).
  • Blood infection (sepsis), with high fever and feeling very unwell.
  • Bleeding in the stomach or intestines.
  • Temporary changes in liver function blood test results.
  • Low sodium (salt) in the blood, causing weakness, tiredness, confusion, muscle twitches, or passing out (sometimes from too much fluid in the body).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to vinorelbine, similar cancer medicines, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have low white blood cells or platelets, or if you have or recently had a severe infection (in the last two weeks), as this medicine can affect your blood cells.
  • Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as this medicine can harm the baby.
  • Avoid yellow fever vaccine and other live vaccines during treatment due to serious health risks.
  • Do not take if you have a bowel disease that affects food absorption, or if you've had part of your stomach or small intestine removed by surgery.

  • Do not take if you are on long-term oxygen therapy.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a heart attack, severe chest pain, severe liver disease not related to cancer, or radiation therapy that included your liver.
  • Your blood will be tested before and during treatment to ensure your safety. Treatment may be paused if results are not normal.
  • Do not drive or operate machines if you feel unwell or if your doctor advises against it.
