How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose for adults is 25-30 mg per square meter of body surface area.

Method

This medicine is given directly into a vein as an infusion, taking 6 to 10 minutes.

Important

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea, vomiting, or constipation
  • Feeling tired, weak, pale, or short of breath (due to low red blood cells)
  • More likely to get infections (due to low white blood cells)
  • Hair loss, sores or inflammation in the mouth or throat
  • Pain in your joints or muscles
  • Diarrhea or fever
RARE
  • Difficulty with body movements or sense of touch
  • Dizziness or sudden hot flashes in the face/neck
  • Shortness of breath or wheezing
  • Serious blood infections (sepsis)
  • Heart problems, such as a heart attack or irregular heartbeat
  • Severe stomach or back pain (pancreatitis)
  • Skin rashes

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to vinorelbine or similar medicines (vinca alkaloids).
  • Do not use if you are breastfeeding.
  • Do not use if your white blood cell count is low or you have a serious infection.
  • Do not use if your platelet count is low (risk of bleeding).
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you have signs of infection, such as fever, chills, or cough.
