How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 10: Use 1-2 sprays in each nostril, up to 2-3 times a day. For children aged 6-10: Use 1 spray in each nostril, up to 2-3 times a day. Do not use this medicine for children younger than 6 years old.

Method

Take off the cap. Before you use it the first time, press the pump 5-10 times until a steady spray comes out. Hold the bottle straight up and put the spray tip just inside your nostril. Close your other nostril. Spray and breathe in deeply through your nose at the same time. Do this again for the other nostril. Wipe the spray tip clean with a damp cloth and put the cap back on right away.

Important

Do not use this spray for more than 7 days in a row. Also, do not use more than the amount suggested.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to oxymetazoline hydrochloride or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have taken MAO inhibitors (medicines for depression or Parkinson's disease) in the last two weeks.
  • Do not use if you have serious heart problems or heart-related asthma.
  • Do not use if you have high pressure in your eyes (glaucoma).
  • Do not use if you have had brain surgery to remove your pituitary gland.

  • Do not use if the skin or lining inside your nose is swollen or if you have scabs in your nose.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart disease (like chest pain), diabetes, thyroid problems, an enlarged prostate, very high eye pressure, or a rare tumor near your kidneys (pheochromocytoma).
  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without asking your doctor first.
