How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose for adults and children aged 11 years and older is one vial per day.

Method

Viant is a powder that is mixed with liquid and then given as a drip into your vein (intravenously).

Important

Do not take more than one vial per day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
  • Burning feeling or rash at the injection site
  • High liver test results (seen in blood tests)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in Viant, including peanuts or soybeans.
  • Do not use if you already have high levels of vitamins in your body.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your blood.
  • Do not use if you have too much calcium in your urine.
  • Do not use if you are already taking other medicines or supplements containing Vitamin A or similar substances, as this could lead to Vitamin A poisoning.

  • Do not give Viant to newborns, infants, or children under 11 years old.
  • Contact your doctor or nurse right away if you have signs of an allergic reaction, like sweating, red skin, hives, or trouble breathing.
