Verdye is a special dye used in medical tests to help doctors see how blood flows in your body or to find lymph nodes during surgery.
The dose depends on the test and your body weight. For blood flow and liver function tests, it's usually 0.1-0.5 mg per kg. For lymph node tests, it's typically 5-10 mg per injection.
A doctor or nurse will give you Verdye as an injection directly into a vein, under the skin, into fatty tissue, or around a tumor.
For blood flow and liver function tests, the maximum daily dose for adults is less than 5 mg per kg. For children aged 2-11, it's less than 2.5 mg per kg, and for infants 0-2 years, it's less than 1.25 mg per kg. For lymph node tests, the maximum daily dose for adults is less than 10 mg.
