Important Warnings

  • This medicine is for emergency treatment of opioid overdose and must be given by another person, not by yourself.
  • Give Ventizolve immediately. It does not replace emergency medical care. Call 112 even if the person wakes up.
  • Each Ventizolve nasal spray contains only one dose. Do not prime or test the spray before use, as this will waste the medicine.
  • Ventizolve can cause rapid opioid withdrawal symptoms in people who are dependent on opioids.
  • Even if the person responds to the medicine, it's important to monitor them, as opioid overdose symptoms can return. Additional doses may be needed.

  • If you are using buprenorphine, Ventizolve may not fully reverse breathing problems, and additional doses may be needed.
  • Tell your doctor if you have nasal injuries, as this may affect how Ventizolve works.
  • Do not drive, use machines, or engage in other physically or mentally demanding activities for at least 24 hours after taking Ventizolve, as opioid effects can return.
