Ventilastin Novolizer is a medicine that helps open up airways in your lungs to make breathing easier for people with asthma and similar conditions, and to prevent asthma attacks.
For sudden breathing problems, take one inhalation (100 micrograms). To prevent asthma symptoms from exercise or allergens, adults take two inhalations (200 micrograms) and children (6-12 years) take one inhalation (100 micrograms) 10-15 minutes before the activity. Children may take a second inhalation if needed.
Inhale the powder deeply and quickly through the mouthpiece, then hold your breath for a few seconds. You should hear a click during inhalation. Breathe out before putting your lips around the mouthpiece, and do not breathe into the inhaler.
Adults should not take more than 8 inhalations (800 micrograms) in 24 hours. Children (6-12 years) should not take more than 4 inhalations (400 micrograms) in 24 hours.
