How to Use

Dosage

Dosage varies depending on the condition. Typically, the dose is 500 mg - 2000 mg, taken 1-4 times daily.

Method

Take this medicine by mouth, swallow the tablet whole with water at the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose can be 8000 mg, but your doctor will decide your specific dose.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to valaciclovir, aciclovir, or any other ingredient.
  • If you develop a widespread rash, fever, and swollen lymph nodes, stop taking the medicine and contact a doctor immediately.
  • Talk to your doctor before use if you have kidney disease, liver disease, are over 65, or have a weak immune system.
  • Drink plenty of water regularly while taking Valorin to help reduce side effects on your kidneys or nervous system.
  • If you have genital herpes, avoid sexual contact if you have sores or blisters, and use condoms to prevent spreading the infection.
