How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is one tablet daily.

Method

Take the tablet at about the same time each day, with or without food, and swallow it whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Important

Maximum one tablet daily.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Low potassium levels in the blood.
  • Allergic skin reactions, such as a red rash.
RARE
  • Sudden and severe swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat (angioedema), which can make breathing or swallowing difficult.
  • Severe skin reactions, such as widespread rash, blisters, or peeling skin.
  • Life-threatening irregular heartbeat.
  • Inflammation of the pancreas, causing severe stomach and back pain and nausea.
  • Liver disease affecting the brain (hepatic encephalopathy) or liver inflammation (hepatitis).
  • Low sodium levels in the blood, which can lead to dehydration or low blood pressure.
  • Dizziness or a spinning sensation (vertigo).
  • Cough.
  • Vomiting.
  • Stomach pain.
  • Red spots on the skin (purpura).
  • Impotence (inability to get or keep an erection).
  • Tiredness.
  • Headache.
  • Tingling or numbness (paresthesia).
  • Dry mouth.
  • Changes in blood cells (e.g., easy bruising, nosebleeds, fever, sore throat).
  • Low blood pressure.
  • Kidney problems (can cause tiredness, frequent urination, itching, nausea, swelling of arms and legs).
  • Vision problems, such as blurred vision, nearsightedness, or eye pain due to high eye pressure.
  • Increased sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity reactions).
  • Muscle pain.
  • High blood sugar in diabetics.
  • Increased uric acid (can cause or worsen gout).

Important Warnings

  • If you are allergic to valsartan, indapamide, other sulfonamides, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • If you have severe liver disease or a serious brain condition (hepatic encephalopathy) due to liver disease.
  • If you are more than 3 months pregnant (it's also best to avoid use during early pregnancy).
  • If you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a medicine containing aliskiren.
  • If you have severe kidney disease.

  • If you have low potassium levels in your blood.
  • If you have ever had sudden swelling of your face or tongue (angioedema) with other medicines. Stop taking the medicine and contact a doctor immediately if this happens.
  • Talk to your doctor before driving or operating machinery, as this medicine can cause dizziness or tiredness.
