How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 2-3 tablets 3-4 times a day; children usually start with 1 tablet 3 times daily. Your doctor will adjust your dose based on your response to the medicine.

Method

Take the tablets with a drink of water. If you have trouble swallowing, the tablet can be divided along the score line.

Important

Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea, headache, joint pain, hair loss, skin reactions (rash, itching, redness)
RARE
  • Liver problems (increased liver values, hepatitis, jaundice), vasculitis, long-term skin symptoms, kidney disease symptoms, swollen lymph nodes

Important Warnings

  • Tell your doctor if you have a fever or stomach pain, as these may be signs of pancreatitis. Tyrazol treatment may need to be stopped.
  • Tyrazol can harm an unborn baby. If you can become pregnant, use reliable contraception from the start of treatment and during treatment.
  • Contact a doctor immediately if you get a fever, sore throat, mouth ulcers, bruising, bleeding, or feel unwell.
