How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children aged 2 years and older: one 0.5 ml dose.

Method

The vaccine is given as an injection into a muscle or deep under the skin.

Important

This is a single dose. If necessary, a booster vaccination is recommended at least every three years.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Pain, redness, swelling, or hardening at the injection site.
  • Headache.
  • Muscle pain.
  • General feeling of being unwell (malaise).
  • Tiredness or unusual weakness.
  • Fever.
RARE
  • Itching at the injection site.
  • Joint pain, rash, swollen lymph nodes, and general feeling of illness (serum sickness).
  • Fainting (due to injection).
  • Cough, wheezing, or difficulty breathing (asthma).
  • Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach ache.
  • Skin rash, sometimes with swelling or itching (hives).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this vaccine if you are allergic to its active substance or any other ingredient.
  • Vaccination should be postponed if you have a high fever or an acute infection.
  • Tell your doctor if you are allergic to formaldehyde or casein, which are used in vaccine production and may be present in very small amounts in the vaccine.
  • Discuss with your doctor if you have immune system problems or are taking medicines that weaken your immune system.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder or low platelet count, as bleeding may occur at the injection site.
