How to Use

Dosage

Use one drop in the affected eye(s) in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Method

Wash your hands. Tilt your head back and pull your lower eyelid down. Squeeze one drop into your eye. Close your eye and press the inner corner for about 2 minutes. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or surrounding area.

Important

Do not exceed one drop three times a day in each affected eye.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Burning and stinging in the eye.
COMMON
  • Eye irritation, including corneal issues, soreness, or blurry vision.
  • Eye discharge or itching.
  • Eyelid irritation or inflammation.
  • Headache.
  • Feeling sick (nausea).
  • Bitter taste in your mouth.
  • Tiredness.
RARE
  • Inflammation of the iris (colored part of the eye).
RARE
  • Numbness or tingling in your hands or feet.
  • Temporary blurry vision, especially close up, that usually goes away after stopping the medicine.
  • Fluid under the back of your eye (retina).
  • Eye pain, irritation, redness, or crusting on eyelids.
  • Swelling of the front of the eye (cornea) that causes vision changes.
  • Kidney stones.
  • Dizziness or nosebleeds.
  • Sore throat or dry mouth.
  • Skin rash, hives, itching, or severe skin reactions.
  • Swelling of the lips, eyes, or mouth.
  • Trouble breathing or wheezing.
  • Feeling like something is in your eye.
  • Fast or irregular heartbeat or high blood pressure.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to dorzolamide or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney problems or have had kidney stones.
  • If you experience eye irritation, redness, or swelling of your eyelids, contact your doctor right away.
  • If you suspect an allergic reaction (like rash or itching), stop using this medicine and contact your doctor immediately.
  • Do not let the dropper tip touch your eye or the area around your eye. This can cause bacteria to get on the tip, leading to eye infections and serious eye damage, possibly even loss of vision.

  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • If you are breastfeeding, it is not recommended to use this medicine. Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness and blurred vision, which can affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Do not drive or use machines until you feel well and can see clearly.
  • This medicine contains benzalkonium chloride, which can be absorbed by soft contact lenses and may change their color. Remove contact lenses before using and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
