Triveram is a medicine that combines three active ingredients to treat high blood pressure, stable coronary artery disease, and high cholesterol or fats in adults.

How to Use

Dosage

One tablet per day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before a meal, at the same time each day.

Important

The maximum daily dose is one tablet.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention)
  • Inflammation of nasal passages, sore throat, nosebleeds
  • Allergic reactions (like rash, itching)
  • Increased blood sugar levels (monitor if you have diabetes), increased creatine kinase in blood
  • Headache, dizziness, spinning sensation (vertigo), tingling or numbness, tiredness
  • Blurred vision, double vision, ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Cough, shortness of breath (dyspnoea)
  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation, gas, indigestion, changes in bowel habits, diarrhea, stomach pain, taste changes, dyspepsia
  • Joint pain, muscle pain, muscle spasms, back pain
  • Tiredness, weakness
  • Swollen ankles, palpitations (feeling your heartbeat), flushing of face and neck
  • Blood test results showing abnormal liver function
RARE
  • Loss of appetite, weight gain or loss
  • Nightmares, insomnia, sleep problems, mood changes, anxiety, depression
  • Numbness or tingling in fingers/toes/limbs, reduced sensation to pain/touch, memory loss
  • Rhinitis (runny nose/sneezing), belching, dry mouth
  • Severe itching or severe skin rashes, red patches on skin, skin discoloration, blisters, hives, increased sensitivity to sunlight, hair loss, peeling skin, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, lupus-like syndrome (rash, joint pain, blood cell effects)
  • Kidney problems, difficulty urinating, increased need to urinate at night, increased frequency of urination, acute kidney failure, dark urine, decreased or absent urination, white blood cells in urine
  • Inability to get an erection, impotence, breast discomfort or breast enlargement in men
  • Neck pain, muscle fatigue, feeling unwell, rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), purple skin spots (vasculitis), increased eosinophils (type of white blood cell), jaundice (yellowing of skin/eyes), inflammation of the pancreas (severe stomach/back pain), unexpected bleeding or bruising (liver problem), liver inflammation, gallstones (cholestasis), tendon injury, jaw swelling, inflamed gums, swollen abdomen (gastritis), hearing loss, increased muscle tone
  • High potassium in blood (reverts when medicine is stopped), low sodium, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in diabetics, increased urea and creatinine in blood, abnormal blood counts (low white/red blood cells, low hemoglobin, low platelets, abnormal destruction of red blood cells), increased liver enzymes, high bilirubin
  • Shaking, stiff posture, mask-like face, slow movements, shuffling or unsteady walk, changes in finger/toe color, numbness and pain (Raynaud's phenomenon), myasthenia gravis (general muscle weakness, sometimes affecting breathing muscles), ocular myasthenia (eye muscle weakness)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Triveram if you are allergic to atorvastatin, perindopril, amlodipine, or any similar medicines (statins, ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers).
  • Do not take Triveram if you have liver disease or abnormal liver function tests with no known cause.
  • Do not take Triveram if you have very low blood pressure or severe heart problems (like cardiogenic shock, blockage of blood flow from the heart, or heart failure after a heart attack).
  • Do not take Triveram if you have had swelling of the face, tongue, or throat (angioedema) in the past, especially with ACE inhibitor medicines.
  • Do not take Triveram if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, breastfeeding, or are a woman who could become pregnant and are not using reliable birth control.

  • Do not take Triveram if you are taking sacubitril/valsartan (for heart failure) or glecaprevir/pibrentasvir (for Hepatitis C).
  • If you need to take fusidic acid for a bacterial infection, you must temporarily stop Triveram. Your doctor will tell you when it's safe to restart Triveram.
  • Tell your doctor if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if it's severe or persistent.
  • Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while taking Triveram, as it can affect how the medicine works.
  • Avoid drinking a lot of alcohol while taking this medicine.
  • Triveram can cause dizziness, headache, tiredness, or nausea. Be careful when driving or operating machines, especially at the beginning of treatment.
  • Tell your doctor if you have persistent muscle weakness (myasthenia), double vision, drooping eyelids, or difficulty swallowing/breathing, as statins can worsen these conditions.
