Triveram is a combination of three active substances used to treat high blood pressure, angina (chest pain), and/or high cholesterol in adults.

How to Use

Dosage

One tablet once daily.

Method

Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, preferably at the same time each day, in the morning before a meal.

Important

Do not exceed one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention).
COMMON
  • Nasal inflammation, sore throat, nosebleed.
  • Allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itching).
  • Increased blood sugar levels (if diabetic, monitor carefully), increased creatine kinase in blood.
  • Headache, light-headedness, spinning sensation, tingling or numbness of the skin, fatigue.
  • Blurred vision, double vision, ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
  • Cough, shortness of breath (dyspnea).
  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation, gas, indigestion, changes in bowel habits, diarrhea, stomach pain, altered sense of taste, dyspepsia.
  • Joint pain, muscle pain, muscle spasms, back pain.
  • Tiredness, general weakness.
  • Swollen ankles, awareness of your heartbeat (palpitations), flushing of the face and neck.
  • Blood test results indicating abnormal liver function.
RARE
  • Swelling of eyelids, face, lips, mouth, tongue or throat, making it difficult to breathe (angioedema); severe skin reactions such as severe rash, hives, redness, intense itching, blisters, peeling and swelling of the skin, inflammation of mucous membranes (e.g., Stevens-Johnson syndrome).
  • Muscle weakness, tenderness, pain, rupture, or red-brown urine (may indicate severe muscle breakdown, which can be life-threatening and lead to kidney damage, especially with fever or general unwellness).
  • Weakness in arms or legs, or speech difficulties (signs of stroke); severe dizziness or fainting due to low blood pressure.
  • Unusually fast or irregular heartbeat; chest pain (angina) or heart attack.
  • Sudden wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing (bronchospasm).
  • Inflammation of the pancreas, causing severe stomach and back pain, and severe unwellness.
  • Unexpected or unusual bleeding or bruising (may indicate liver problems); yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), which may be a sign of liver inflammation.
  • Rash often starting as red, itchy patches on the face, arms, or legs (erythema multiforme); lupus-like syndrome (including rash, joint problems, and effects on blood cells).
  • Loss of appetite, weight gain or weight loss.
  • Nightmares, trouble sleeping, other sleep disorders, mood changes, anxiety, depression.
  • Numbness or tingling in fingers, toes, or limbs; reduced sense of pain or touch; memory loss.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Sneezing or runny nose due to inflammation of the nasal lining (rhinitis).
  • Belching, dry mouth.
  • Severe itching or severe skin rashes, red patches on the skin, skin discoloration, blisters on the skin, hives, increased skin sensitivity to sunlight, hair loss.
  • Kidney problems, urination disorders, increased need to urinate at night, increased frequency of urination.
  • Inability to get an erection, impotence, breast discomfort or enlargement in men.
  • Neck pain, muscle fatigue.
  • Feeling unwell, tremors, fainting, falls, chest pain, general discomfort, increased body temperature (fever), increased sweating, pain.
  • Fast heart rate (tachycardia).
  • Purple skin lesions (a sign of blood vessel inflammation, vasculitis).
  • Increased eosinophils (a type of white blood cell).
  • White blood cells in urine test.
  • Changes in lab values: high potassium in blood (returns to normal after stopping treatment), low sodium, very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in diabetics, increased urea and creatinine in blood.
  • Sudden kidney failure.
  • Dark urine, nausea or vomiting, muscle cramps, confusion and seizures (may be symptoms of Syndrome of Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone Secretion - SIADH).
  • Reduced or no urine production.
  • Worsening of psoriasis.
  • Confusion.
  • Unexpected bleeding or bruising.
  • Blockage of bile ducts (yellowing of skin and whites of eyes).
  • Tendon injury.
  • Changes in lab values: increased liver enzymes, high bilirubin levels in blood.
  • Nerve disorder (may cause weakness, tingling, and numbness).
  • Skin rash or mouth sores (lichenoid drug reaction).
  • Eosinophilic pneumonia (a rare lung inflammation).
  • Hearing loss.
  • Increased muscle tone.
  • Swollen gums.
  • Abdominal swelling (gastritis).
  • Abnormal liver function, yellowing of the skin (jaundice), increased liver enzyme levels (may affect medical tests).
  • Changes in blood counts (e.g., low white and red blood cells, low hemoglobin, low platelets, leading to unusual bruising or bleeding), disease caused by the breakdown of red blood cells.
  • Persistent muscle weakness.
  • Tremors, rigid posture, mask-like face, slow movements and shuffling, unsteady gait, discolouration, numbness and pain in fingers or toes (Raynaud's phenomenon).
  • Myasthenia gravis (a disease causing general muscle weakness, sometimes affecting breathing muscles).
  • Ocular myasthenia (a disease causing muscle weakness in the eye).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Triveram if you are allergic to atorvastatin, other 'statins', perindopril, other ACE inhibitors, amlodipine, other calcium channel blockers, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Triveram if you have liver disease or unexplained abnormal liver test results.
  • Do not take Triveram if you have very low blood pressure, cardiogenic shock (heart cannot pump enough blood), obstruction of blood flow from the left side of the heart, or heart failure after a heart attack.
  • Do not take Triveram if you have had swelling of the face, tongue or throat (angioedema) with previous ACE inhibitor treatment, or if you or a family member has had these symptoms in other circumstances.
  • Do not take Triveram if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure-lowering medicine containing aliskiren.
