How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet daily.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before a meal, at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention).
  • Headache.
  • Dizziness or feeling tired.
  • Cough or trouble breathing.
  • Stomach problems: feeling sick, throwing up, constipation, gas, diarrhea, stomach pain, or a strange taste.
  • Muscle or joint pain, back pain.
  • Feeling weak.
  • Swollen ankles.
  • Feeling your heart beat fast (palpitations).
  • Red face or neck (flushing).
RARE
  • Nightmares, trouble sleeping.
  • Feeling numb or tingling in your hands or feet, or reduced sense of touch.
  • Blurred vision or double vision.
  • Ringing in your ears.
  • Serious skin rashes, severe itching, skin changes, or hair loss.
  • Kidney or urination problems, like needing to pee more often at night.
  • Problems getting or keeping an erection (impotence), breast discomfort or growth in men.
  • Sudden kidney failure.
  • Dark urine, throwing up, muscle cramps, confusion, or seizures (may be signs of a hormone problem).
  • Hearing loss.
  • Stiff muscles.
  • Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice).
  • Lasting muscle weakness, or a disease causing general muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis).

Important Warnings

  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience severe allergic reactions like swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, or difficulty breathing.
  • If you have liver disease or unexplained abnormal liver blood test results, do not take this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding. Women who can get pregnant must use reliable birth control.
  • Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice, and limit alcohol consumption, as they can affect how the medicine works.
  • This medicine may cause dizziness or tiredness, which can affect your ability to drive or use machines. Be careful, especially when starting treatment.

  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience muscle weakness, pain, tenderness, or dark urine, especially with a fever or if you feel unwell. These could be signs of a serious muscle problem.
