How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is one tablet once a day.

Method

Take the tablet with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before a meal.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention)
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Feeling tired or weak
  • Nausea
  • Stomach pain
  • Muscle cramps
  • Rash or itching
RARE
  • Severe dizziness or fainting
  • Severe skin reactions (like blistering or peeling skin)
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat which makes it hard to breathe
  • Heart attack
  • Life-threatening irregular heartbeat
  • Severe stomach and back pain (sign of pancreatitis)
  • Liver problems (jaundice, hepatitis)
  • Stroke

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, or if you have had severe swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat (angioedema) in the past, which can make it hard to breathe.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are more than 3 months pregnant. It is also not recommended in early pregnancy.
  • Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can increase the effect of the medicine.
  • Do not take if you have very low blood pressure.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include ankle oedema and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.2.2025)
