How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet once a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, preferably in the morning before a meal.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day, as prescribed by your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Swelling (fluid retention)
  • Headache
  • Dizziness or feeling faint
  • Heart palpitations (feeling your heart beat)
  • Cough
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Stomach pain
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Skin rash or itching
  • Muscle cramps
  • Feeling tired or weak
  • Swelling of the ankles
RARE
  • Mood changes, anxiety, depression, or sleep problems
  • Confusion
  • Tremor (shaking), numbness, or tingling sensations
  • Irregular or fast heartbeat
  • Severe skin reactions, such as widespread rash, blistering, peeling skin, or mouth sores (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)
  • Hair loss
  • Changes in vision (e.g., blurred vision, eye pain, decreased vision)
  • Kidney problems or changes in urine output (reduced or absent urine)
  • Liver problems (e.g., hepatitis, yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), severe stomach pain from inflammation of the pancreas)
  • Muscle stiffness or weakness, severe muscle cramps
  • Stroke (due to very low blood pressure)
  • Abnormal blood tests (e.g., high or low blood potassium, low blood sugar, high blood calcium, changes in liver enzymes)
  • Fever or feeling generally unwell
  • Swelling of hands, ankles, or feet
  • Raynaud's phenomenon (discoloration, numbness, and pain in fingers or toes)
  • Increased sensitivity to light (photosensitivity)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Triplixam if you are allergic to perindopril, indapamide, amlodipine, or similar medicines, or any other ingredient in Triplixam.
  • Stop taking Triplixam and seek medical help right away if you get sudden swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, or have difficulty breathing, as these can be serious allergic reactions (angioedema).
  • Do not use Triplixam if you have severe liver disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Triplixam is not recommended during early pregnancy and must not be used after the third month of pregnancy, as it can seriously harm your baby.
  • Do not use Triplixam if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking another blood pressure lowering medicine called aliskiren, or if you are taking sacubitril/valsartan for heart failure.

  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience a sudden decrease in vision or eye pain, as these can be signs of serious eye conditions that may lead to permanent vision loss.
  • Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while on Triplixam, as it can increase the effect of the medicine.
  • Triplixam should not be given to children and adolescents.
  • Athletes should be aware that one of the active ingredients in Triplixam (indapamide) may lead to a positive result in doping tests.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Significant adverse effects include ankle oedema and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.2.2025)
