How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is one 100 mg or 200 mg capsule daily.

Method

Swallow the capsule whole without chewing. If you open the capsule, take the granules from a spoon and drink water. Do not chew or crush the granules. Take the medicine at the same time each day.

Important

Do not take more than 400 mg of tramadol hydrochloride per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

RARE
  • Heart palpitations, fast heart rate, or fainting, especially when standing up or during physical exertion.
  • Slow heart rate, increased blood pressure.
  • Retching, stomach discomfort (e.g., pressure, bloating), diarrhea.
  • Skin reactions (e.g., itching, rash).
  • Changes in appetite.
  • Unusual sensations (itching, tingling, numbness), tremors, slow breathing, muscle twitching, coordination problems, temporary loss of consciousness (fainting), epileptic seizures.
  • Hallucinations, confusion, sleep disturbances, anxiety, nightmares.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Worsening of asthma (reported, but cause not confirmed).
  • Hiccups.
  • Muscle weakness.
  • Increased liver enzyme values.
  • Difficulty or pain when urinating, reduced urine output.
  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g., difficulty breathing, wheezing, skin swelling) and shock (sudden circulatory failure). Seek immediate medical help if you have swelling of the face, tongue, and/or throat, difficulty swallowing, or hives with breathing problems.
  • Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to tramadol or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you have used certain antidepressants (MAO inhibitors) in the last 14 days.
  • Do not take if you are acutely poisoned by alcohol, sleeping pills, pain relievers, or other mood-affecting medicines.
  • Do not take if you have epilepsy that is not well controlled by medication, or if you have a tendency to seizures.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver disease.

  • Do not use for drug addiction treatment or withdrawal.
  • Tell your doctor if you have breathing difficulties, high pressure in the brain, or are in shock.
  • Seek medical help if you experience extreme tiredness, loss of appetite, severe stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or low blood pressure, as these may indicate adrenal insufficiency.
  • Be aware that using Tramium with certain antidepressants can cause serotonin syndrome. Contact a doctor immediately if you have symptoms like agitation, hallucinations, fever, or fast heart rate.
  • Do not drink alcohol during treatment, as it can make the medicine's effects stronger.
  • Tramium should not be used during pregnancy or more than once during breastfeeding. If you use it more often while breastfeeding, you should stop breastfeeding.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness, dizziness, and blurred vision, affecting your ability to react. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel your reaction time is impaired.
