How to Use

Dosage

1 spray into each nostril, up to 3 times a day as needed.

Method

Blow your nose before use. Remove the cap. Prime the pump until it sprays evenly (only for the first use). Insert the tip into one nostril, spray once while gently breathing in through your nose. Repeat for the other nostril. Rinse the nozzle with water after use and replace the cap.

Important

Do not use more than the recommended daily dose. Do not use for more than 5-7 days in a row. Take a break of several days before using it again.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Burning feeling in the lining of your nose.
RARE
  • Nausea.
  • Allergic reactions (like rash).
  • Restlessness.
  • Headache.
  • Palpitations (pounding heart).
  • Nasal discomfort, dry nasal lining, runny nose, sneezing.
  • Dizziness.
  • Changes in taste.
  • Nosebleed.
  • Hallucinations.
  • Insomnia (trouble sleeping).
  • Drowsiness.
  • Sedation (feeling very calm or sleepy).
  • Irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia).
  • Fast heartbeat (tachycardia).
  • Rash, swelling of the tongue, lips and/or face, spasms of the vocal cords, swelling of the mouth and throat (severe allergic reaction).
  • Inflammation of the mouth lining.
  • Tiredness.
  • High blood pressure.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to tramazoline, camphor, cineol, levomenthol, or any other ingredients. Stop using it right away if you think you have an allergic reaction.
  • Do not use if you have a certain type of eye disease called narrow-angle glaucoma, have had nose surgery where brain or spinal cord membranes were exposed, or have a very dry nose with scabs (rhinitis sicca).
  • This medicine is not for children under 6 years old.
  • Do not use for more than 5-7 days in a row. Using it for too long can make your nose constantly stuffy and thin the lining of your nose.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you have high pressure in your eyes, severe heart or blood vessel problems (like coronary artery disease or high blood pressure), a tumor on your adrenal gland (pheochromocytoma), metabolic issues (like an overactive thyroid or diabetes), an enlarged prostate, porphyria, or if you are taking certain medicines for depression (MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants) or medicines that can raise blood pressure.

  • Do not use during the first three months of pregnancy. After the first three months, use only if your doctor tells you to. Do not use while breastfeeding unless your doctor advises it.
  • Be careful not to get the spray in your eyes, as it can cause irritation.
