How to Use

Dosage

Take 1-2 tablets (50-100 mg).

Method

You can take the tablet with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than 8 tablets (400 mg) in one day, unless your doctor tells you to.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Nausea (feeling sick to your stomach)

RARE
  • Changes in heartbeat (fast, slow, or irregular) or blood pressure (low or high), fainting
  • Diarrhea, stomach discomfort (like bloating or pressure)
  • Skin reactions (itching, rash, or sudden redness)
  • Changes in appetite, tingling sensation (pins and needles), or speech problems
  • Shaking, breathing difficulties, seizures, uncoordinated movements, or muscle weakness
  • Problems with urination (difficulty or inability to urinate)
  • Feeling confused, anxious, having hallucinations or nightmares
  • Mood changes, changes in activity level, or blurred vision
  • Changes in blood sugar levels or hiccups
  • Higher liver enzyme levels (seen in blood tests)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to tramadol or any other ingredient in it.
  • Avoid alcohol and other sedatives (like sleeping pills) while taking this medicine, as effects can be too strong.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are currently taking or have taken certain depression medications (MAO inhibitors) or the antibiotic linezolid in the last 14 days.
  • If you have epilepsy that is not controlled by medicine, do not take this. The risk of seizures may increase, especially with high doses.
  • Do not take this if you have severe kidney or liver problems.

  • Repeated use can lead to dependence, misuse, and addiction, which can be life-threatening. Take only as prescribed.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you experience slow breathing, confusion, severe sleepiness, small pupils, nausea, vomiting, or signs of an allergic reaction (itching, rash, swelling of face/throat, trouble breathing/swallowing).
  • This medicine is not for children under 12 years old.
  • This medicine is for you only. Do not give it to others, as it can be very harmful or even fatal if not prescribed for them.
  • This medicine can make you sleepy, dizzy, or blur your vision. Do not drive or use machines if you feel these effects.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Serotonergic. Prodrug. Genotype affects the response. Reduce the dose in moderately severe and severe renal impairment. Increases the risk of confusion and falling. Need for laxative is often necessary. Consider potential interactions. (updated 18.8.2025)
