How to Use

Dosage

For adults and young people over 12, take one 100 mg tablet twice a day, usually in the morning and evening. Your doctor may increase the dose to 150 mg or 200 mg twice a day if needed.

Method

Swallow the tablets whole with enough liquid, preferably in the morning and evening. Do not split or chew the tablets. You can take them with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than 400 mg of tramadol per day, unless your doctor has specifically told you to.

  • Sweating a lot (hyperhidrosis)
RARE
  • Heart problems (palpitations, fast heartbeat), feeling faint, or fainting, especially when standing up or during physical activity
  • Stomach upset (pressure or bloating in the stomach), retching, or diarrhea
  • Skin reactions (itching or rash)
  • Allergic reactions (difficulty breathing, wheezing, skin swelling) and shock (sudden collapse of circulation)
  • Slow heartbeat
  • Increased blood pressure
  • Unusual sensations (itching, tingling, numbness), tremors, muscle spasms, or involuntary movements
  • Epileptic seizures (fits)
  • Temporary loss of consciousness (fainting)
  • Speech disorders
  • Changes in appetite
  • Hallucinations
  • Confusion, sleep disturbances, delirium, anxiety, or nightmares
  • Mood changes (e.g., feeling overly happy or irritable), changes in activity levels, or impaired thinking.
  • Drug dependence
  • Blurred vision, dilated pupils, or constricted pupils
  • Slow or shallow breathing, shortness of breath
  • Muscle weakness
  • Difficulty or pain when urinating, or reduced urine volume
  • Increased liver enzyme levels
  • Decreased blood sugar levels
  • Hiccups
  • Serotonin syndrome (can cause mental changes, fever, fast heart rate, blood pressure changes, muscle stiffness, coordination problems, stomach problems like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to tramadol or any other ingredients.
  • Do not take if you have acute poisoning from alcohol, sleeping pills, other pain medicines, or mood-affecting drugs.
  • Do not take if you are currently using or have used certain medicines for depression (MAO inhibitors) within the last 14 days.
  • Do not take if your epilepsy is not well controlled with treatment.
  • This medicine can make you drowsy, dizzy, or blur your vision. Do not drive or operate machinery if you feel affected.

  • Do not drink alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can make the effects stronger.
  • Do not use during pregnancy. Long-term use can cause withdrawal symptoms in newborns.
  • Do not breastfeed while taking this medicine. If you need to take it more than once, you should stop breastfeeding.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe fatigue, loss of appetite, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or low blood pressure, as these could be signs of adrenal problems.
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you have slow or shallow breathing, confusion, severe drowsiness, very small pupils, nausea, vomiting, constipation, or poor appetite.
  • This medicine should not be given to children under 12 years old.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially sedatives, sleeping pills, other pain medicines, or certain antidepressants, as taking them with Tramadol Krka can increase risks like severe drowsiness, breathing problems, or seizures.
  • Seek immediate medical help if you get signs of an allergic reaction like swelling of your face, tongue, or throat, trouble swallowing, or hives with breathing problems.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category D

Avoid use in older adults. Serotonergic. Prodrug. Genotype affects the response. Reduce the dose in moderately severe and severe renal impairment. Increases the risk of confusion and falling. Need for laxative is often necessary. Consider potential interactions. (updated 18.8.2025)
