How to Use

Dosage

For temporary constipation, adults and children over 10 years can take 1-2 tablets in the evening or one rectal suspension in the morning as needed.

Method

Swallow tablets whole with water, usually in the evening. Do not chew or crush. Rectal suspension is used in the morning and works quickly (5-20 minutes).

Important

Do not take more than one dose of Toilax per day for constipation.

Possible Side Effects

  • vomiting
  • skin rash (hives)
  • swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
  • severe allergic reaction
  • dizziness
  • fainting
  • pain in the upper belly
  • bloody stools
  • inflammation of the bowel
  • local irritation, pain, or bleeding when using the rectal suspension

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to bisacodyl or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have sudden, severe stomach pain or an inflammatory bowel disease.
  • Do not use if you have a bowel blockage, severe lack of fluids, or problems around your anus or rectum (like sores or bleeding piles).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have constipation for a long time.
  • Do not give this medicine to children younger than 2 years old.

  • Do not take the tablets with antacids (medicines for heartburn) or dairy products within one hour.
  • If you feel dizzy or faint, do not drive or use machines.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
  • Stop use and get immediate medical help if you have a severe allergic reaction (like hives, swelling of your face or throat, or trouble breathing).
