Tizagelan is a muscle relaxant medicine used to ease muscle spasms caused by problems with the spinal cord, certain surgeries, multiple sclerosis, or strokes.
For adults, the typical starting dose is 2 mg, taken three times a day.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. You can take them with or without food.
Do not take more than 36 mg in total per day.
Avoid use in older adults. In severe renal impairment, administer only once a day. Significant adverse effects include sedation, hypotension and torsades de pointes ventricular tachycardia. Consider potential interactions. (updated 16.9.2024)
