How to Use

Dosage

Inhale the powder from 1 capsule once a day.

Method

Use a special inhaler to breathe in the medicine from the capsule twice. Do not swallow the capsule. Take it around the same time each day.

Important

Do not use more than one capsule per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to tiotropium, atropine, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This medicine is for daily use to help your breathing, not for sudden breathing problems or wheezing attacks.
  • If you get swelling in your face or throat, hives, severe itching, or severe dizziness, stop taking the medicine and get help right away as these can be signs of a serious allergic reaction.
  • Some people feel chest tightness, cough, wheezing, or have trouble breathing right after using the inhaler. If this happens, get help right away.
  • Be careful not to get the powder in your eyes, as it can cause or worsen an eye condition called glaucoma (symptoms include eye pain, blurred vision, or seeing halos with red eyes). If this happens, tell your doctor.

  • Dry mouth is a common side effect and can lead to tooth decay over time, so remember to brush your teeth well.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a heart attack in the last 6 months, an unstable heart rhythm, or severe heart failure in the last year.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have glaucoma (an eye condition), prostate problems, trouble urinating, or kidney problems.
  • This medicine is not for children or teenagers under 18 years old.
  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor before using this medicine.
