Tidimaz eye drops are used to lower high eye pressure in glaucoma when other beta-blocker eye drops alone are not enough.

How to Use

Dosage

One drop in the affected eye(s) morning and evening.

Method

Wash hands, tilt your head back, and gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a pocket. Squeeze the bottle gently to release one drop into the pocket. Close your eye and press the inner corner with your finger for about two minutes.

Important

No more than two drops per day, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Burning or stinging in the eyes, changes in taste, redness or irritation in or around the eye, watery or itchy eyes, feeling of something in the eye, decreased eye sensitivity, eye pain, dry eyes, blurred vision, headache, sinusitis (stuffy nose), nausea, weakness or fatigue.
RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions, including rash, hives, swelling of the face, lips, mouth, or eyes, and wheezing.
  • Severe skin reactions, including swelling under the skin.
  • Chest pain, changes in heart rhythm or rate, heart failure, heart attack, cardiac arrest, low or high blood pressure, stroke (reduced blood flow to the brain), Raynaud's phenomenon (coldness/numbness in hands or feet).
  • Shortness of breath, respiratory failure, narrowing of airways, cough, throat irritation.
  • Dizziness, depression, fainting, insomnia, nightmares, memory loss, tingling or numbness in hands/feet, worsened myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), hallucinations.
  • Inflammation of the iris (colored part of the eye), vision disturbances (including temporary short-sightedness, retina detachment, drooping eyelids, double vision), eyelid crusting, corneal swelling, low eye pressure, feeling of foreign body in the eye.
  • Indigestion, kidney stones, dry mouth, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea.
  • Decreased sexual desire, low blood sugar, muscle pain (not from exercise), autoimmune disease (systemic lupus erythematosus), ringing in ears (tinnitus), runny nose, nosebleeds, skin inflammation (contact dermatitis), hair loss, psoriasis-like rash, Peyronie's disease (penis curvature).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to dorzolamide, timolol, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have or have had breathing problems like asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (severe lung disease).
  • Do not use if you have a slow heart rate, heart failure, or irregular heartbeats.
  • Do not use if you have severe kidney disease, kidney problems, or have had kidney stones.
  • Do not use if your blood has too much acid due to a build-up of chloride (hyperchloremic acidosis).

  • Tell your doctor about all medical conditions you have or have had, including eye conditions, heart, lung, circulation, diabetes, or allergies.
  • If you experience eye irritation or new eye problems (such as redness or swollen eyelids) or suspect an allergic reaction, stop using the drops and contact your doctor immediately.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you plan to become pregnant.
  • This medicine can affect your vision and ability to drive or operate machines. Do not drive or operate machines until you feel well and can see clearly.
  • Avoid touching the tip of the bottle to your eye or surrounding areas to prevent contamination, which could lead to a serious eye infection.
  • Inform your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, including those for blood pressure, heart, diabetes, other eye drops, or any non-prescription medications, as they can interact with Tidimaz.
  • Inform your doctor or other medical staff before any surgery or anesthesia that you are using Tidimaz.
