How to Use

Dosage

The first dose is two 90 mg tablets taken at once (total 180 mg). After that, the usual dose is one 90 mg tablet twice a day, usually for up to 12 months, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Method

You can take the tablets with or without food. If you have trouble swallowing whole tablets, you can crush them into a fine powder, mix with half a glass of water, and drink immediately. Rinse the glass with more water to make sure all the medicine is taken.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 180 mg (two 90 mg tablets).

Possible Side Effects

  • Shortness of breath or feeling like you can't get enough air.

  • Bleeding, such as bruising, nosebleeds, or bleeding from cuts that lasts longer than usual.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to ticagrelor or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take this medicine if you currently have bleeding in your body.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have had a stroke caused by bleeding in your brain.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have severe liver disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a higher risk of bleeding, for example, from a recent serious injury, surgery, or if you have stomach ulcers.

  • Let your doctor know if you are going to have surgery, as you may need to stop this medicine five days before.
  • Tell your doctor if your heart beats unusually slowly (under 60 beats per minute) and you do not have a pacemaker.
  • Tell your doctor if you have asthma, other lung conditions, or difficulty breathing.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant, as this medicine is not recommended.
