How to Use
Dosage
Your doctor will decide your dose based on your age, gender, weight, and general health. For high skull pressure, you will receive a dose based on your weight. If you have liver or kidney problems, your doctor will give you a smaller dose.
Method
This medicine is given directly into one of your veins (intravenously).
Important
Your medical team will ensure you receive the correct amount and do not get too much.

Important Warnings
- Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to thiopental, other barbiturates, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
- Tell your doctor if you have severe breathing problems, like asthma, or a narrowing of your airways.
- Inform your doctor if you have a heart or blood vessel disease, or high blood pressure.
- Let your doctor know if you have problems with your liver or kidneys.
- Do not use this medicine if you have porphyria, a rare blood disease.

- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell your doctor. This medicine should not be used during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Breastfeeding should be stopped for at least 12 hours after use.
- This medicine can make you dizzy, confused, and drowsy. Do not drive or operate machinery for 24-36 hours after receiving it.
