Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergic reactions (trouble breathing, itching, shock, stomach pain). Sneezing or temporary itching often happened before these.

  • Pain where the injection was given. Giving the injection slowly can help avoid a burning feeling in the arm.

  • Skin rash or irritation where the injection was given. This can happen to sensitive people after the injection.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to thiamine or any other ingredient in it.
  • This medicine is only given when you need thiamine quickly or cannot take it by mouth (e.g., due to vomiting).
  • Tell your doctor if you've had a mild allergic reaction (like sneezing) to thiamine before, as there's a risk of a more serious reaction with repeated doses. Your doctor will check for allergies.
  • If given into a vein, the injection must be given slowly over 30 minutes to reduce side effects and allergic reactions.
