How to Use

Dosage

One 14 mg tablet once a day for adults and children weighing over 40 kg; one 7 mg tablet once a day for children weighing 40 kg or less.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food, at any time of day.

Important

One 14 mg tablet per day.

RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions (rash, hives, swelling of lips/tongue/face, sudden breathing difficulties)
  • Severe skin reactions (rash, blisters, fever, mouth sores)
  • Severe infections or blood poisoning (high fever, shaking, chills, confusion)
  • Lung inflammation (breathing difficulties, persistent cough)
  • Severe liver disease or liver inflammation (yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, unexplained nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain)
  • Low platelet count
  • Pulmonary hypertension (high blood pressure in the lung's blood vessels)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to teriflunomide or any other ingredients of the medicine.
  • Do not use if you have had severe skin reactions (like rash, blisters, or mouth sores) after taking teriflunomide or similar medicines before.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease.
  • Do not use if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  • Do not use if you have a severe problem with your immune system (e.g., AIDS) or bone marrow (low blood cells/platelets).
