How to Use

Dosage

For insomnia, 10-20 mg before bedtime (elderly 10 mg). For anxiety, 10-30 mg up to three times a day.

Method

Take the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food. You can split the tablet to make it easier to swallow.

Important

For insomnia, up to 4 weeks. For anxiety, up to 8-12 weeks. Treatment should be as short as possible to avoid dependence.

  • Memory loss (amnesia)
  • Psychological problems such as restlessness, irritation, aggression, hallucinations, psychoses, and behavioral disorders
  • Withdrawal symptoms
  • Depression
  • Double vision
  • Changes in sexual desire
  • Itchy skin, rash, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Tenox if you are allergic to temazepam or other ingredients.
  • Do not take Tenox if you have severe breathing problems, sleep apnea, or severe liver disease.
  • Do not drink alcohol during treatment, as it can increase the sedative effect of the medicine.
  • Tenox should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or by children under 18 years of age.
  • This medicine can cause drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.

  • This medicine can cause dependence. Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly; reduce the dose gradually as advised by your doctor.

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. For short-term use only. Increases the risk of drug addiction, cognitive disorder and traffic accidents. Increases risk of falls. Paradoxically, may increase anxiety, restlessness and aggression. (updated 12.2.2024)
