How to Use

Dosage

Adults and adolescents aged 12-18 years weighing at least 35 kg: Take 1 tablet once daily with food.

Method

Take the tablet with food (e.g., a meal or snack). If you have trouble swallowing, you can crush it with the tip of a spoon, mix it with about 100 ml (half a glass) of water, orange juice, or grape juice, and drink immediately.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 1 tablet, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Do not change the dose without consulting your doctor.

  • Diarrhea

  • Low phosphate levels in blood (seen in lab tests)
  • Headache
  • Stomach pain
  • Tiredness
  • Bloating

  • Bone loss
  • Liver problems (abnormal test results)
RARE
  • Lactic acidosis (too much acid in blood, signs include deep rapid breathing, sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain). This is serious and needs immediate medical attention.
  • Inflammation of the pancreas (causes stomach pain).
  • Kidney damage, including kidney inflammation, passing a lot of urine, feeling thirsty, back pain due to kidney issues, or kidney failure.
  • Softening of bones (can cause bone pain and sometimes fractures).
  • Fatty liver.
  • Muscle breakdown, muscle pain or weakness.
  • Low potassium levels in blood (seen in lab tests).
  • High creatinine levels in blood (seen in lab tests).
  • Abdominal pain caused by liver inflammation.
  • Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to tenofovir, tenofovir disoproxil, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • This medicine does not stop the spread of HBV to other people through sexual contact or blood. Continue to use precautions to prevent transmission.
  • Tell your doctor if you have or have had kidney problems, as this medicine can affect your kidneys. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose or monitor your kidney function.
  • Inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis, a history of bone fractures, or other bone disorders, as this medicine may cause bone loss or other bone issues.
  • Discuss with your doctor if you have a history of liver disease, including hepatitis. Your doctor will monitor your liver function carefully.

  • Be aware of new infections or inflammation symptoms when starting treatment. If you notice any signs, such as fever or worsening existing infections, tell your doctor immediately.
  • If you are over 65 years old, your doctor will monitor you closely as this medicine has not been studied extensively in older patients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are already taking other medicines that contain tenofovir disoproxil, tenofovir alafenamide, or adefovir dipivoxil.
  • It is very important to tell your doctor if you are taking other medicines that might harm your kidneys.
  • This medicine contains lactose. If you have been told you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
