How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will determine the correct dose for you based on your body size and condition.

Method

Take the capsules once a day, preferably at the same time and on an empty stomach, at least one hour before breakfast. Swallow the capsule(s) whole with water; do not open, crush, or chew them. If a capsule breaks, avoid powder contact with skin or eyes, and rinse immediately with water if it occurs.

Important

Your doctor will prescribe your maximum daily dose, which may change during your treatment cycle.

  • Blood clots (in lungs or legs), high blood pressure
  • Pneumonia, shortness of breath, cough, sinusitis
  • Abdominal pain, heartburn, difficulty swallowing, dry mouth

  • Muscle aches, muscle weakness, joint pain, back pain
  • Frequent urination, difficulty holding urine
  • Pain, malaise, cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Fluid retention, swollen legs
  • Increased liver enzymes

RARE
  • Brain infections caused by herpesvirus
  • Wound infections
  • Cytomegalovirus or Hepatitis B virus infections
  • Development of other cancers (including leukemia)
  • Severe decrease in blood cell counts (pancytopenia, anemia)
  • Red spots under the skin
  • Diabetes insipidus (severe thirst and frequent urination), low potassium
  • Mood swings, hallucinations
  • Partial paralysis, altered sense of smell
  • Impaired hearing, middle ear infections
  • Heart palpitations, hot flashes
  • Swollen abdomen, difficulty controlling bowel movements, hemorrhoids
  • Hepatitis, liver damage, bile flow problems, increased bilirubin
  • Blisters on body or in mouth, flaky skin, severe rashes with skin swelling
  • Skin sensitivity to sunlight, hives, increased sweating, changes in skin color
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Vaginal bleeding, irritation, menstrual irregularities, breast pain, impotence
  • Chills, facial swelling, tongue discoloration, thirst, dental problems, dry eyes

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to temozolomide, dacarbazine, or any other ingredients.
  • This medicine can affect your blood cells; your doctor will check your blood counts regularly.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have fever, signs of infection, or unusual bleeding.
  • May cause tiredness or drowsiness; do not drive or operate machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
  • Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women; men face a risk of permanent infertility, so use contraception.
