How to Use

You can take Temesta tablets with or without food.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to lorazepam or other benzodiazepines, or if you have sleep apnea or severe breathing problems.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, breathing difficulties, myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness), or glaucoma.
  • If you experience swelling of the tongue, throat, or difficulty breathing, seek medical help immediately and do not take this medicine again.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly; always follow your doctor's instructions to gradually reduce the dose.
  • Avoid alcohol during treatment and tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially strong pain relievers (opioids), as they can increase effects and risks.

  • Do not share this medicine with others; it is prescribed only for you.
  • Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. For short-term use only. Increases the risk of drug addiction, cognitive disorder and traffic accidents. Increases risk of falls. Paradoxically, may increase anxiety, restlessness and aggression. (updated 15.1.2024)
