How to Use
Dosage
Usually one 40 mg or 80 mg tablet once a day, as prescribed by your doctor.
Method
Take the tablet at the same time each day, with water, with or without food.
Important
Do not take more than 40 mg per day if you have liver problems. Otherwise, your doctor may prescribe up to 80 mg.

- •Intestinal angioedema: swelling in the intestine with symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea has been reported.
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to telmisartan or any other ingredients.
- Avoid use during pregnancy, especially the last 6 months, as it can harm the baby.
- Do not use if you have severe liver problems or bile duct blockage.
- Do not take if you have diabetes or kidney problems and are taking a blood pressure medicine with aliskiren.
- Tell your doctor if you are scheduled for surgery or anesthesia.

Use in Elderly Patients
Category A
