How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 50 mg twice a day, every 12 hours.

Method

Take 10 ml of the oral suspension (which contains 50 mg of riluzole) by mouth every 12 hours, at the same time each day (e.g., morning and evening). Use the measuring syringe provided. It can also be given through a feeding tube.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 100 mg (50 mg taken twice a day).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Teglutik if you are allergic to riluzole or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take Teglutik if you have liver disease or high levels of certain liver enzymes in your blood. Tell your doctor if you experience yellow skin or eyes (jaundice), itching all over your body, nausea, or vomiting, as these can be signs of liver problems.
  • Do not take Teglutik if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
  • Tell your doctor if your kidneys are not working well.
  • Tell your doctor if you get a fever, as this could mean you have a low white blood cell count, which increases your risk of infection.

  • This medicine may make you dizzy or sleepy. Do not drive or use machines if you feel this way.
